Climb inside one of only four windmills open to the public in Greater London. Shirley Windmill is a restored 1854 tower mill with its original millstones and machinery still in place, and volunteers run guided tours telling the story of Victorian flour milling — fascinating for young and old alike. Open 12 noon to 5pm; FREE entry, donations welcome.
