Every year the town centre is closed to traffic and filled with stalls for the Surbiton Festival, 10am-4pm. Victoria Road and St Andrew’s Road are pedestrianised (buses are on clearly marked diversion routes) to allow more than 100 stalls to operate, while there are children’s activities in Claremont Gardens and music in St Andrew’s Square.
